How To Hit A Marketing “Hole-in-One”

I’ll give you a hint:

One of the markets I create funnels for clients in is Golf training…

Do I golf?

Let’s just say I’m better than I used to be.

So when doing research for a sales funnel, I went deep to find the real pain points.

In my search, I found articles talking about the power, trust, and authority they put…

Not in their swing, putting, or ability to remain calm under pressure…

But in…

… their Caddy.

One of the most revealing articles I found?

A piece by Nick Price (arguably the sweetest swing in golf history), where he said:

“A good caddie doesn’t just clean clubs.  He often helps you make the right choice…”

Gold.

The ONE DIFFERENCE he noticed between all ‘weekend-warriors’ and long term tour pros?

(outside the relentless practice and work ethic)

Simple.

Making Good Decisions.

Not tactical decisions (like which club to use or how to get out of a bunker)…

But strategic ones, like:

  • Avoiding the ‘money-shot’, even if it seems like a no-brainer…
  • Deciding not to shoot OVER the trees and look like a beast, but aim for the wide open fairway and take the proven route… and
  • Saving the trick shots for when the kids are watching, and NOT for the final round…

So many opportunities to make BAD decisions in 18 holes, the Caddy is there almost exclusively to be the voice of reason.

Much like a best friend or confidant.

Or, in our world, a business coach or mastermind group…

The end result?

The player (you) gets the glory, trophies and prize money…

And the Caddy (our mastermind) gets the satisfaction of knowing it was impossible to do without him.

See, the same way strategy controls the golf game…

Strategy can be the difference in your sales funnel between throwing together an email autoresponder “because you’re supposed to”…

… And crafting sales-pulling email sequences that can pay you for years to come.

Just like Hanni.
